About Kallur

A thrilling hike to a lighthouse at the northern tip of Kalsoy, with knife-edge ridges and staggering ocean views on both sides.

The Kallur ridge is one of the most wind-exposed hikes in the Faroes. The narrow path along the cliff edge becomes genuinely dangerous in gusts above 15 m/s — people have been blown off their feet here. The ferry to Kalsoy also cancels in bad weather. Check both wind speed and ferry status before committing to this hike.

Requires a ferry to Kalsoy from Klaksvík, then drive to Trollaðanes. The trail is narrow and exposed; not suitable in high winds.
